The continued growth of this event reflects the importance of collaboration and partnership in helping young people successfully transition into adulthood. We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and enthusiasm to make this year's fair such a success.
As we look ahead, we are excited to announce that Milan Berry-Pollock of Ardmore Enterprises and Anita Okorafor of Compass Maryland will begin serving as Co-Chairs of the Transitioning Youth Committee this month. We look forward to their leadership as the committee continues to expand its impact and strengthen supports for transitioning youth and their families.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Susan Hartung of MMARS, who has served as Chair of the Transitioning Youth Committee for the past several years. Through Susan's dedication and leadership, the Transitioning Youth Resource Fair has grown significantly, reaching more families and connecting them with critical resources each year. Her commitment has helped make this event a cornerstone resource for our community, and we thank her for the lasting impact she has made.
Planning is already underway for our Fall Transitioning Youth Resource Fair, and we encourage members to help spread the word. The event will be held at Bowie High School on November 7, 2026. Whether you're interested in exhibiting, volunteering, or simply sharing information with families, your involvement helps us reach even more individuals who can benefit from these valuable connections.
